FaZe Clan already has one of the best competitive Fortnite rosters, and they have decided to pad their team with a new, young talent.
The North American esports organization, FaZe Clan, announced on March 12 that they signed a new Fortnite player to their roster, ‘Sway’.
‘Sway’ is a 15-year-old Fortnite prodigy who plays on a controller, like Ghost Aydan or 100 Thieves’ Nickmercs.
Most competitive Fortnite players play on keyboard and mouse since they offer much more accuracy and allow players to move with precision, but using a controller in Fortnite is preferred to some gamers who typically grew up around consoles.
‘Sway’ may be young, but he is certainly no stranger to the Fortnite community as his social media channels boast impressive numbers, including close to 450,000 YouTube subscribers, over 57,000 Twitter followers, and over 66,000 Instagram followers.
FaZe Clan’s Fortnite roster already includes powerhouse players like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore, and Jack ‘Cizzorz’ who will certainly help prepare ‘Sway’ for Fortnite’s intense competitive environment.
‘Sway’ was signed by FaZe Clan for his quick building and editing, along with his bot-like aim.
Some of his clips can be seen in FaZe Clan’s official introduction of FaZe Sway.
We will be seeing a lot more talent being signed to major esports organizations within the next couple of months due to the upcoming Fortnite World Cup.
The Fortnite World Cup’s open qualifiers will begin on April 13 and last through June 16, with $1 Million up for grabs each week of the qualifiers.
Epic Games pledged to reward a total of $100 million in prize money between 2018 and 2019. The Fortnite World Cup Finals will take place between July 26 and July 28 in New York City with a prize pool of $30 million.
