Mayhem has entered the Battle Royale island as Epic Games with a brand new Borderlands 3 collaboration that will reward players with event-exclusive items.

Fortnite has collaborated with several other companies to help promote different video games and movies, and this time around, Borderlands will be briefly invading Epic’s Battle Royale game.

Fans will be able to hop into a BR match and check out the new location near the Truck ‘N’ Oasis truck stop in the desert, which has since been transformed thanks to the Rift Beacon.

Here’s everything that fans can check out in the Fortnite x Mayhem limited-time event.

Welcome to Pandora

The Rift Beacon that previously transformed Neo Tilted into Tilted Town moved to the desert biome to the southeastern side of the Fortnite Battle Royale map.

We now know that the Rift Beacon activated a change in the desert that bought the world of Borderlands to Fortnite.

Players will now notice that the desert biome has changed into a Borderlands-themed area that also has Gearbox’s famous cell-shade design.

Fortnite x Borderlands cosmetics

Players will be able to grab the Psycho bundle which will include tons of Borderlands-themed items.

Fans will notice that the pack is designed after Bandits, just one of many types of enemies players can encounter in Borderlands.

The pack will include a Bandit-themed skin, pickaxe, and back bling. Rumors have been swirling that a glider will be added as well.

In-game rewards

There are six individual challenges for the “Welcome to Pandora” pack that will reward players with Borderlands-themed items.

The full list of challenges are:

  • Collect Cash from 10 chests and opponents in Pandora
  • Eliminate 3 opponents in Pandora
  • Search 7 chests in Pandora
  • Find Claptrap’s missing eye and then return it to him
  • Gain 500 shields in Pandora
  • Search 3 different Vault Symbols

Once a player completes a challenge they will be awarded in-game experience as well!

While Epic made the controversial decision to nerf turbo building, we think players will be able to distract themselves for a short while by enjoying the Fortnite x Borderlands event.
