UPDATE: FNBR Leaks was not shut down due to leaks, but because the site promoted software tools that violated Epic Games TOS according to an Epic employee.
According to a statement made by popular Fortnite leaking account FNBRLeaks, Epic Games has hired an attorney to shut down accounts dedicated to leaking Fortnite content.
FNBRLeaks took to Twitter to announce that his Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and GitHub accounts will be deleted due to a Cease & Desist from Epic Games.
This is not the first time Epic has attempted to stop those who leak unreleased, upcoming, and cut content from Fortnite. However, this time Epic seems serious and is reportedly threatening legal action against those who do not comply.
I am not going to go into specifics with this, but. Due to the request of an Epic Games Attorney who i’m not going to disclose, my Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and GitHub must be deleted, or else they will take action. Thank you all for the support and followers over my 7 month span of the FNBRLeaks twitter. Sadly, everything comes to an end.

A cease and desist letter is a document sent to an individual or business to stop purportedly illegal activity (“cease”) and not to restart it (“desist”).
The letter may warn that if the recipient does not discontinue specified conduct, or take certain actions, by deadlines set in the letter, that party may be sued.
Leaking in Fortnite is a relatively simple process due to the availability of tools dedicated to extracting assets from games based on the Unreal Engine. Despite the use of an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Key, any player with a copy of the game on Windows is able to extract assets in minutes.
Epic has yet to take any further preventative measures to stop players from digging around in the asset libraries.
Multiple other leakers in the community have shared that they received the same Cease & Desist letter, others are worried that they may be next.
PSA: Epic is seriously cracking down on leaking. I got a ceist and desist letter from their attorney because of the gifting leaks I did a while back. Also I believe slayer (FNBRLeaks) got one too.

Epic has yet to and is unlikely to provide an official statement on the situation. Stay tuned for further updates.
