Fortnite Battle Royale patch v9.01 landed on May 15, and a couple more hints have been made about the rumored John Wick event.
Every day the news page is updated with announcements regarding changes coming to Fortnite Battle Royale including but not limited to in-game events, LTMs, cosmetics, and more.
On May 15 the Fortnite Battle Royale update v9.01 dropped which happen to hold a few clues towards the previously hinted John Wick event.
Once the v9.01 patch was pushed, the Fortnite News section updated with a new panel titled “Coming soon”.
The left panel hints at either an upcoming event or LTM with “Tick Tock, Mr. Wick”.
Maybe we will see the event kick off on May 16 when Season 9’s Week 2 challenges unlock?
At 9 am ET the official Fortnite Twitter account tweeted out four emojis, adding more weight to the possibility of John Wick arriving back to the game.

The account tweeted out a bearded male, dog, pencil, and a money bag.
We think the emoji combination is referring to the rumored “Wick’s Bounty” LTM which will have players collect fallen enemy’s coins, similar to Call of Duty’s Kill Confirmed mode.
There is no way to predict or confirm when new events or LTMs will be arriving in Fortnite since Epic Games does not comment on leaks or rumors.
For now, all we can do it sit and wait for the potential John Wick event to arrive in Fortnite Battle Royale.
