Following a teaser tweet this week, Epic Games has shared new details on the upcoming Fall Skirmish competitive series, which is set to feature $10,000,000 in prizes over a 6 week period.

Epic has announced that the Fall Skirmish will kick off next Friday, September 21, with the Fall Skirmish Series Season set to end October 26-28 at the TwitchCon Convention in California.

The Fall Skirmish will feature a new approach to competition as Epic plans to host both Competitive and Entertainment play formats.

We’re looking to incorporate some of these new formats into our large-scale events in 2019. During Fall Skirmish, players will proudly represent themed teams and earn points based on their performances in both play formats. Each week will pose new challenges like white-knuckle ATK races, masterful golf outings, mini-games, and of course high skill competition every weekend.

An announcement is coming next week to reveal the format and teams for the first week of the Fall Skirmish Series.

Epic has also confirmed that a Showdown Royale is coming to Fortnite in early October, which will allow players additional ways to compete directly in game with a new tournament system.
