Update: Epic Games has now fixed the errors which resulted from the launch of the v10.10 Content Update. Players should now be able to play without receiving errors.

Sometimes, in large scale game development, things go wonky like what’s happened after the Fortnite v10.10 Content Update.

Season X’s start has not been the cleanest in Fortnite’s relatively short history. Epic has been struggling with several bugs and community complaints since day 1. These continued with v10.10 Content Update.

The latest Content Update did not require any download from players, but it nonetheless messed something up. As of August 20, a portion of the community is reporting errors upon login. Epic addressed the issue on Twitter. These errors have now been dealt with.

Epic Games as now been able to restore full service for Fortnite. Players should no longer be receiving errors upon logging in or matchmaking. If you are still experiencing such issues, we highly suggest reporting these to Epic as soon as possible.

Epic Game swiftly hopped onto the official Fortnite Twitter to inform players that they are aware of the errors.

From the replies to the tweet, the problem seems to be stemming for matchmaking and login errors. These can occur whenever you try to get into the lobby screen or when you queue up for a match.

While these problems can be pesky to deal with, Epic Games generally deals with them quickly. The issues shouldn’t persist past August 20, but Epic did promise to keep everyone updated as they seek the cause. We’ll provide you with their updates as they come in.

In the meantime, if you are having issues with Fortnite, we suggest simple troubleshooting measures.

For example, just simply restarting the game can solve most issues. We wouldn’t recommend anything as drastic as reinstalling however.
