Last week, we covered a video by SypherPK that explained why all of the Fortnite pros were using the Dragacorn glider in their matches. The glider’s color and animation make it incredibly difficult for enemies to locate and shoot you in the sky, which is a huge advantage over other gliders.
To make matters worse, this glider was in the Item Shop – meaning you’d have to pay money to earn this in-game advantage. Here’s the video that shows how powerful this glider can be.
This isn’t the first time that Epic have added a pay-to-win item in Fortnite. The Deep Dab emote allowed you to peek through windows and take free shots and the Plastic Patroller skin set let you blend into the surroundings.
Just like the pay-to-win cosmetics before it, the Dragacorn glider is being addressed by Epic Games. The Deep Dab caused Epic to add a delay to shooting after emoting and the Plastic Patroller got scuffed up.
The Dragacorn glider has been removed from competitive Fortnite modes while Epic work on a fix. In the meantime, using this glider in these modes will trigger the default glider to deploy.
As the Fortnite Status Twitter account stated, players with this glider will have the opportunity to refund it when the animation changes go through.
Epic deserves credit, here. It only took them a week to address the issue once it became a mainstream problem and they’re removing it until they have a fix. Fortnite players complain about Epic Games a lot, but they’re doing the right thing in this case.
How to get Spotify Premium for free with Fortnite Crew
Epic have announced a new promotion for Fortnite Crew members that includes three free months of Spotify Premium.
Fortnite Crew members will son be able to get three months of Spotify Premium for free. Here’s how.
A few weeks ago, Epic issued a survey to Fortnite Crew members, asking them about some upgrades that they may bring to the service. Among them was a partnership with other subscription services – similar to what they did with the Disney+ deal in Season 4.
It looks like this bonus got some strong support from those who took the survey, as Epic have already announced a new partnership with Spotify.
Starting on April 22, Fortnite Crew members will be able to listen to music and podcasts ad-free on Spotify with Spotify Premium.
This promotion is set to run from April 22 to June 30, 2021. Anyone who subscribed to the Fortnite Crew pack through April 22 will gain access to the promotion.
This means that anyone who bought the Crew subscription on March 22 will be able to receive three months of Spotify Premium for free; even if they already canceled.
If you have already canceled your subscription, it could be worth picking back up again. The subscription costs $9.99 per month, so you’ll pay $11.99 for the Fortnite Crew benefits and three months of free Spotify.
We doubt that this will be the last promotion that Epic will host. We wouldn’t be surprised to see new subscription services like Peacock Premium, Paramount Plus, and others jump on the Fortnite bandwagon. Of course, if they do, we’ll be the first to let you know.
When does Fortnite Season 6 end and Season 7 begin?
When does Fortnite Season 6 end and Season 7 begin? Will there be a Season 6 live event? Find out everything here.
Fortnite Season 6 is here, but fans are already wondering when Season 7 will begin. Here’s everything we know so far.
As has been the case for the past few seasons, Fortnite Season 6 feels like the most ambitious season in the history of Fortnite. Epic took the foundation (no pun intended) of Season 5 and added a host of new weapons, a crafting system, and a lot more.
It’s still relatively early, but fans are split as to whether or not Season 6 is an upgrade from Season 5. Pro players and casuals alike are still adjusting to the new meta, with the crafting system being the topic of heated debate. Some players love the ability to upgrade on the fly, while others would rather avoid the extra farming requirement.
Whether you love or hate the new season, you might be wondering when the next one will start.
Fortnite Season 7 start date
Fortnite Season 7 is scheduled to begin on June 8, 2021, which is exactly three months after the beginning of Season 6. Unlike Season 5, this is going to be a standard season – at least, it seems that way.
There’s always a chance that seasons get delayed and extended. We’ll update this article if the Fortnite Season 7 start date changes.
As for a live event to close Season 6, it’s too soon to tell. The plot is picking up lately, though, so we have to assume that Epic have something up their sleeve.
Interactive events have been the wave, recently, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see that happen before Season 7. We’ll update you when we know more.
Hasbro announces new line of Fortnite toys
Epic Games have partnered with Hasbro to once again bring Fortnite characters to the real world in the form of toys.
Hasbro and Epic Games are working together again to create a new line of Victory Royale toys for Fortnite fans.
Fortnite has transcended gaming for a while. At this point, everyone has heard of Fortnite – even non-gamers. It’s a cultural icon at this point and has been immortalized by Hasbro toys before.
Now, Epic and Hasbro are teaming up again to bring modern Fortnite cosmetics to the figurine world. They released The Foundation toy for Season 6, with an announced release of other toys soon to come.
New Fortnite X Hasbro toys
Along with The Foundation are Meowscles, a shark, Lynx, Rippley, and many other characters from Chapter 2. The Loot Shark is even complete with a belly full of goodies, just as they were in-game.
We don’t have a word on when these toys will hit shelves, but preorders for The Foundation toy are now available for $39.99. You can grab yours on the Hasbro Pulse website.
We’ll keep you posted when the rest of the toys officially hit the shelves. They’ll make a great addition to your collection, desk, or gaming setup.
