Have you always wanted to win a Fortnite tournament but don’t have the mechanical skills to get it done? The Fortnite Fishing Frenzy contest might be your chance.

Fishing in Fortnite is something that no one knew they wanted. Fortnite players had a list of requests at the end of Season X. None of them involved the ability to fish, but this addition somehow became one of the best parts of the game.

Need some health or shields? Want to upgrade your kit? Grab a Harpoon Gun or Fishing Rod and hit the water!

This all leads us to the newest Fortnite contest that will take place on November 22: the Fortnite Fishing Frenzy.

The competition will begin at 8AM EST on November 22 and run until 8PM EST on the 24th. Each region (NAE and NAW will be combined) will compete to win a Bottom Dweller pickaxe and a real-life Llama trophy (shown below).

To compete, all you have to do is enable 2FA, grab a fishing rod, and hit the water. Keep in mind that only fish caught with a fishing rod will count. Harpoon Gun catches won’t qualify you for inclusion.

The tournament will coincide with the release of the Triggerfish skin, which will hit the item shop on November 22.

The skin was first seen in the Fortnite X Star Wars crossover video. Fans speculated as to whether this would be another Fishstick style or if it would be a standalone skin. We have our answer: it will be its own skin.
