Fortnite players are able to earn YouTube-exclusive in-game rewards while watching Fortnite World Cup Finals content thanks to Epic’s new partnership with the platform.

On July 18, Epic Games and YouTube announced their industry-breaking partnership that would allow Fortnite fans to earn exclusive cosmetic items just by watching this weekend’s Fortnite World Cup Finals.

The first item that was available to earn via YouTube Drops was the “Game Jam Spray”, which was available on July 25 and July 26.

Players who watch 20 minutes of the Fortnite World Cup Duos Finals on Saturday, July 27 via YouTube will earn the “World Cup Spray”.

Before fans hop in to earn their reward, they will need to link their Epic Account with their YouTube account.

Here’s how to link your Epic and YouTube accounts:

  1. Sign into YouTube on a desktop.
  2. Go to your YouTube account settings.
  3. Select the “Connected accounts” setting.
  4. Find and choose “Epic Games account”.
  5. Select “Connect”.
  6. Enter your details.
  7. Done!

Once fans successfully watch 20 minutes of the Fortnite World Cup Finals on YouTube, the “World Cup Spray” will unlock in Fortnite.

Fortnite World Cup Duos Finals

The top 50 duos in the world are currently fighting in the Fortnite World Cup Duo Finals with Jack ‘Courage’ Dunlop and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins casting the event.

Winners of the Duo Finals will walk away with a combined $3 million dollars or $1.5 million per player.

Sunday, July 28, will feature the Fortnite World Cup Solo finals with top players like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney looking to take home the trophy.
