Fortnite Chapter 2 brought a fresh start to the game and completely revamped the loot pool. Take a look at the full loot pool for Fortnite Chapter 2.
Fortnite Chapter 2 is a fresh start for Epic and us as players. The new map looks nothing like the old one, truly making it feel like we’re playing a whole new game.
Epic completely rehauled the loot pool for Chapter 2. Most fans agree that the new loot pool is far more balanced than it used to be. It’s simpler, more bare-bones, but fair across the board.
It seems like the frustration of only finding a terrible gun – or no gun at all – is gone in Fortnite. There still aren’t any Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes, but players have had enough time to figure out what’s in the game and what Epic removed.

Reddit user FaZeNiccorazi posted and image of the full Fortnite loot pool for those who want everything right in front of them. Every gun now has a common through legendary variant. The only grenade option is the classic ‘nade, and the only trap is the Spike Trap.
Healing items were simplified significantly with Fortnite Chapter 2. We have Bandages, Medkits, Mini Shields, Big Shields, and three fish – no more Slurps, Splashes, or Chug Jugs. The Bandage Launcher was added, but it takes up two slots and isn’t worth carrying in its current state.

Simplifying the loot pool balances the game. RNG is at an all-time low, which is perfect for competitive Fortnite. The ability to upgrade your weapons by using materials further reduces the reliance on random drops in Fortnite.
The game might be at an all-time high in terms of how balanced the loot pool is. Sure, we might miss some of the mobility, but Epic will likely add some more of that in the coming weeks.
