If you’re rushing to get the Welcome to Gotham City challenges completed before they expire, this cheat sheet map is exactly what you need.
After lots of leaks revealed that a Batman event was coming to Fortnite, it finally dropped on September 21, adding new skins, items and of course, the Gotham City location.
As with any in-game event, there’s also an exclusive set of challenges, entitled ‘Welcome to Gotham City’, with many Batman-themed activities to get up to.
Some of the challenges are fairly straight-forward, such as ‘Use a Batman Grapnel Gun in different matches’, but others will require some more map knowledge and effort.
That’s where this brilliant cheat sheet map from u/flapjack626 will come in handy – every challenge location and requirement is shown here, so you know exactly where you need to go.
Simply keep this beside you will you grind out the challenges, and you’ll have them completed in no time.
Unfortunately, this map is missing some of the locations for the Joker Gas Canisters, as they also spawn at Sunny Steps and Haunted Hills.
Welcome to Gotham City Challenges
- Deal damage to opponents with an Explosive Batarang (250)
- Light up different Bat Signals outside of Gotham City (3)
- Use a Batman Grapnel Gun in different matches (3)
- Defuse Joker gas canisters found in different named locations (3)
- Deal any damage to opponents within 30s of using a Batman Grapnel Gun (1)
- Light a Bat Signal, use a Batman Grapnel Gun, and deal any damage with an Explosive Batarang (1)
The rewards for completing the challenges are well worth the effort too, with a total of 50 battle stars up for grabs and some unique cosmetics.
The challenges are only available while the event lasts, which is until October 6.
Fortnite Week 4 XP Xtravaganza Challenge guide
Fortnite XP Xtravaganza is back for Week 4. Here’s how to complete the new list of challenges.
Fortnite Season 4 is almost over, which means it’s your last chance to push through your final levels while you still can. Thankfully, Epic are making it a bit easier to hit that level 220 goal by adding some XP Xtravaganza challenges – the Season 4 version of Overtime.
This week, we’ll be doing some of the usual stuff: searching chests, eliminating opponents, and dealing damage. Here are all of the challenges that will go live on the morning of November 18.
- Deal damage with SMGs (1,000/2,500/5,000)
- Eliminate Stark Robots, Gatherers, or Gorgers (10/25/50)
- Search Chests/Ammo Boxes/Supply Drops (10 each)
- Collect materials (1,000/1,500/2,000)
- Dance on all five colored bridges in a single match
- Eliminate opponents (20)
Most of these challenges are relatively straightforward. You can complete most of them in Team Rumble, apart from eliminating Stark Robots, Gorgers, and Gatherers.
For this challenge, you should probably hit up the Quinjet Landing sights when they spawn around the map. These are the most reliable locations to find and eliminate Stark Robots – that and finding the Gorger spawns in each match.
Dancing on bridges is going to be a headache, but you can do this on in Team Rumble. Here’s an old map of the bridges from Season 2, but they’re all in the same location. Not much has changed in that regard.
Hopefully, this and the final week of challenges beings you to the coveted level 220: the point at which all of the Season 4 skins will be holographic. If not, you’ll be grinding some XP Coins to close out the season. Good luck!
Fortnite XP Xtravaganza Week 2 Challenge Guide
Fortnite XP XTravaganza continues, this week. Here’s how to complete all of the Fortnite Season 4 Week 12 challenges.
The Fortnite XP Xtravaganza continues, this week, with another batch of challenges that will get players to their XP goals. Remember, you need to reach level 220 to unlock all of the foil skins for the season, so it’s worth your time to keep up with these.
Like a lot of the Overtime Challenges from past seasons, you will need to complete these challenges in stages. For instance, you need to deal 1,000 damage to opponents with Shotguns. Once you finish that, you need to hit the 2,500 damage mark.
Here are all of the challenges for Fortnite Season 4 Week 12 – or XP Xtravaganza Week 2:
- Deal damage with Shotguns to opponents (1,000/2,500/5,000)
- Eliminate opponents with Common/Rare/Epic weapons (7 each)
- Damage opponents using the Choppa’s blades (50/150/250)
- Catch fish (10)
- Catch fish with a Pro Fishing Rod (10)
- Catch fish with Explosive Weapons (10)
- Shoot a gas can thrown by a teammate before it hits the ground (1)
- Consume foraged items (30)
Some of these challenges are easier than others, but all of them will require a guide. If you’re wondering how to catch ten fish with a Pro Fishing Rod, you can always grab a normal rod and upgrade it for a small material cost. We recommend doing this in Team Rumble, as you’ll be a sitting duck on the lake.
The other difficult challenge may be “Damage opponents using the Choppa’s blades.” We’re writing this before the challenges go live, so we hope that Forntite put the damage numbers, here, rather than the number of players that you need to hit.
If it’s the latter, then we’re going to have a wild couple of weeks of people slamming into one another with helicopters.
This list of challenges might seem small, but it should be more than enough to take you into next week when the third XP Xtravaganza challenges will come out.
Hopefully, after this is all over, you’ll have all of your holographic skins unlocked and won’t have to worry about too many more of these.
How to use 10 Rifts in a single match (all Fortnite Rift locations)
The Season 4 Week 11 XP Xtravaganza challenges require you to use 10 Rifts in a single match. Here are all of the Rift locations you need to visit.
The Fortnite Season 4 XP Xtravaganza Challenges have begun with the first week of tiered challenges kicking things off. Most of these challenges are straightforward, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t tedious. Some of these will undoubtedly be a headache, going forward.
One of the more annoying challenges for Week 11 requires players to use 10 Rifts in a single match. This wouldn’t be so difficult if it didn’t require you to know where all of the Rifts spawn on the Fortnite map.
You can complete this challenge in Team Rumble, but chances are you won’t be the only one. If someone snags a Rift before you can get there, you might be out of luck for this match.
The good news is that you can use a single Rift more than once. If you dive down into the same Rift you just entered, you should be able to hit it again before it disappears. Again, other players can throw a wrench into this plan by beginning the de-spawn process too early.
It will help to know where all of the Rifts are located. Here’s a map, which shows where you can find Rifts in every match. At least two or three spawn around all of the Marvel POIs, so hitting the closest to your bus route will be a good place to start.
These Rifts tend to spawn in groups of two, at least, which means you could hit four Rifts at once if you’re fast enough – double-dipping on each Rift. Again, this is only possible if you’re alone, as there’s just enough time to get down to the ground before the used Rift disappears. Another player using a Rift even a second before you can mean that you’ll only be able to hit it once.
This challenge will, undoubtedly, be incredibly annoying for a lot of players. You want those holographic skins, though, don’t you? Get gliding!
