This strategy is nuts. It’s super simple to do, is a solution to a common situation and works nearly 100% of the time.

The strategy was found and posted by Moqii, a young professional Fortnite player.

Breaking into 1×1’s effectively is one of the most important skills to have in high level Fortnite.

A lot of times it comes down to who has better ping as they must replace walls before you can put one up in its place.

But what if you could just phase through walls instead? Moqii learned that if you shoot the Flintlock pistol at the base of a wall while jumping, it will shoot you through the wall and towards the back of the 1×1.

She demonstrates the strategy here:

Is that as OP as it looks? Yes, absolutely, without a doubt, 100%, absolutely broken.

Look how quickly she gets through the wall and places a headshot on the person inside.

The whole point of a 1×1 is to give you initiative over your opponent and this takes that away.

While OP this strategy may be good for the game as a whole. Having a crucial part of a competitive game often decided directly by the player’s ping isn’t a fun experience.

Having a way for people with high ping to succeed in these engagements is good for a section of the player base.

Still, this is absolutely a bug and not something Epic intended to be in the game. It will be interesting to see how quickly it gets patched, luckily for them the WC qualifiers are on hold another week so that should give them enough time to fix the issue.

So use this OP strategy while you still can and you will absolutely take some players by surprise.
