With the October 11 leak of Fortnite Chapter 2, it’s looking like a new map is on the way, which means we have to wave goodbye to the map as we know.

Other battle royales have come out with new maps, even Apex Legends got a new map just three seasons in.
Even with that knowledge, it’s sad to see the current map go, but the future is still exciting. It’s been a long time coming and fans have been champing at the bit for some changes, and it certainly looks like major ones are on the way.
YouTuber FinnWasTaken created a trailer that blends together the events that have been in Fortnite so far, showing just how much the map has changed over the seasons.
It’s a nice walk through memory lane and gives a refresher before we say goodbye. You can view the video below.
For a fan-made creation, it feels very well done and it’s a good send off to the game as we know it.
Season 10 of Fortnite is confirmed to be ending on October 13, when it’s expected a brand-new map will be introduced.
