Have you been wondering where your Fortnite sniper shots are going? Well, this bug might give you an answer.
Sniper shots in Fortnite have felt off for the past couple of days. I had a sniper last night and swore I hit at least a few shots with nothing registering as damage.
I just figured that I had missed my shots, at first, but then I heard the very distinct sound of a sniper shot hit me; only I didn’t take any damage. I chalked it up to an audio bug and kept on moving.
Today, though, I took a look at the r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit and realized what was happening. It was all a bug! Sure, I probably missed some of those shots, anyway, but my aim wasn’t to blame for all of them.
As is the case with any Tfue clip, this one got more attention than some of the others. Tfue wasn’t the only player experiencing this glitch, however.

Chap and ZexRow were also on the receiving-end of sniper shots that didn’t do any damage to them. In this next clip, ZexRow got blasted in the head.
It’s quite ironic that, at the time of this writing, Epic has released the ‘Sniper Shootout’ LTM that should bring this bug to the forefront.
Here’s another look at the glitch. This is Chap getting sniped and reacting to the fact that it didn’t do any damage.
So, that’s where we are. As of writing, Epic still hasn’t issued a response on the topic.
I’d stay away from the sniper, for now. This bug is adding a bit of RNG into whether or not your sniper shots do any damage. We’ll keep you updated when Epic responds or fixes the issue.
