After being leaked in October of 2018, new rumors suggest that Battle Pass Gifting will be coming to Fortnite in the upcoming 9th Season.
Item Gifting was first introduced in November of 2018 and allowed players to gift their friends cosmetic items via the Fortnite in-game Item Shop. While it has not remained a permanent feature, it has returned on multiple occasions.
According to a report by FortniteNews, Battle Pass Gifting will be coming to Fortnite in the near future alongside the release of Fortnite Season 9.

In Season 6, strings were leaked which indicated Battle Pass Gifting would be coming to the game. Unfortunately, it is currently Season 8 and we have yet to see this feature in the game.
It is not yet known exactly what the basis for these claims is, as other credible leakers have not made any discoveries of the feature being updated or released in the near future.
It’s possible that Epic Games may officially announce this as Season 9 comes close to release. At the time of writing, no Season 9 teasers have been released, but we are in the midst of a large-scale in-game event which is likely leading up to the final of Season 8.
What are your thoughts on the ability to gift the Battle Pass to your friends? What’s one way you would improve the current Item Gifting feature in Fortnite?
