Epic Games is notorious for throwing lavish Fortnite-themed parties and events. The Fortnite World Cup is quickly approaching, and we have some ideas on different rides and competitions that might be featured at the $30 million tournament.
Fans who are lucky enough to attend Fortnite events are able to enjoy tons of different attractions, events, and competitions.
Even though there will be an intense tournament for qualifying athletes, thousands of fans are expected to attend the event.
Epic Games has offered tons of awesome attractions for fans to enjoy at previous events, like the Glider zip-line at E3 2019 and mini golf at TwitchCon 2018.
We have a few ideas on what surprises Epic Games have in store for attendees of the Fortnite World Cup.
Hot air balloon
Balloons were originally added into Fortnite with patch v6.21 and allowed players to safely float high in the sky or gain the height advantage on an enemy.
They were eventually vaulted with Season 9’s v9.00 patch, but that doesn’t mean the fun is over.
It would be neat to have a huge hot air balloon ride that will fly up and allow fans to get an eagle-eyed view of the Fortnite World Cup venue. Those pictures would certainly look awesome across social media!
VR in-game experience
Fortnite’s most popular locations could be featured in an exclusive VR in-game experience where players can get a up close and personal look into the game.
Epic Games has access to different video game technologies than other companies, so this idea could not be too far off.
Cosplay is the act of dressing up and designing a costume based off a fictional character.
At previous events, Epic has had Fortnite-themed characters walking around and taking pictures with young fans.
We would be surprised if the company didn’t have Fortnite characters at the World Cup. Who doesn’t want a picture with the Durr Burger mascot?
If you haven’t noticed, Fortnite events are usually full of different rides and attractions based around the game.
There have been different forms of vehicles in Fortnite ranging from Ballers to Quadcrashers.
It would be super cool to have a little soccer field set up to offer Baller soccer where fans suit up into inflatable suits or a Quadcrasher bumper car arena.
Influencer meet & greet
Part of the reason Fortnite exploded into popularity was because of the different personalities and influencers that take part in the community.
Epic also has previously held meet and greets so fans can get a bit of one on one time with there favorite influencers, and we expect them to hold more at the Fortnite World Cup
Pleasant Park was temporarily transformed into a concert venue for the DJ Marshmello.
His set featured his most popular songs and included different in-game mechanics like tossing the entire lobby into the air during a bass drop.
It would certainly be a great way to pay respect to Fortnite’s biggest concert if Epic was to recreate the concert in a makeshift Pleasant Park.
Exclusive skins for attendees
Previous Fortnite events have had their own special item that could be redeemed for exclusive in-game items like sprays.
With the Fortnite World Cup being a record-breaking event, offering attendees an exclusive skin designed around the event would be a great way to say thanks to fans.
Fortnite themed food/vendors
Epic Games have previously offered Slurp Juice-themed drinks, so Fortnite-themed food certainly isn’t an unrealistic expectation.
If you are attending the Fortnite World Cup from July 27 to July 28, be sure to post your pictures on social media to share with everybody.
We are excited for the $30 million event and can’t wait to see who walks away the winners of the solo and duo tournaments.
