The end-goal of the Floating Island is currently unknown. Volcanic Pits continue to spawn at each Corruption Area, and pieces of the Cube are spreading throughout the interior of the Loot Lake Island. We’ll keep you updated as more is uncovered.

The Floating Island is now back on the move, and has left the first rune with a purple beam shooting into the sky.

We don’t yet know what the rune will be doing from now on, other than shooting the beacon into the sky, but it seems to have been activated for a while. We may see all the runes eventually lit up by the time the Island has finished its path, and then who knows what will happen.

The island has created a smaller floating island, and lifted up the Rune from the rocks below. This image, taken by Tasty, shows the Rune floating upwards towards the Cube and the floating island it is holding up above it.

Somehow, the Cube – dubbed “Kevin” – from Season 5 to Season 6, seems to be only halfway through whatever plan it has for the Fortnite map. The Cube – after weeks of roaming around the Fortnite Battle Royale map – finally reached its destination at Loot Lake near the end of Season 5, and proceeded to dissolve into the lake water.

It then proceeded to spark up the water and turn it purple – eventually giving it a rune pattern all across the lake and making it bouncy when players walk on it. Then, on the launch of Season 6 – we discovered that the house in the middle of Loot Lake had ascended into a floating island, held up by Kevin the Cube.
It then started moving (shown in the original article below), and has reached its first stop on a tour around the map – sucking up the first rune from the rocky earth below.

Just like the Cube before it, the Loot Lake Floating Island is officially on the move.

It seems that the island formed from the Cube’s dissolving into Loot Lake is officially on the move. Seen here in a clip from CouRageJD, the island has moved slightly to the left of its original position.

As you can see, the island is no longer in the center of Loot Lake, as it has been since the start of the Season, but instead has moved to the left of the lake.

The news comes after Fortnite’s official social media accounts released a tease over the Island possibly about to start moving. We do not know where the tornado is gonna go.

You can jump into the big tornado in Loot Lake now, and will bounce out of it, instead of being dragged up towards the Floating Island. We also have a clip from CouRageJD of that event happening.

Where do you think the Island will go to? Let us know in the comments below.
