Tencent, one of China’s largest publishers, has announced that Fortnite is officially coming to China in the near future during a presentation in China today, as reported by Donews (Chinese news site, rough translation here, and via DoTesports).
Tencent also stated during their presentation that they plan to invest $15 million into Fortnite esports, both domestic-China based events and global esports promotion of the game.

Tencent also stated that players in China that been playing Fortnite on servers outside of China will be able to transfer all of their account stats and items to the Chinese version of Fortnite upon its launch.
